Duration: 01.01.25 – 31.12.2026
Project Summary
The DILEMMA project is a 24-month Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Youth (2025–2026) that aims to tackle gender-based violence, discrimination, and social inequality through innovative theater-based learning and digital empowerment. Coordinated by Teatro Pubblico Pugliese in Italy and implemented with partners from Ireland, Spain, Cyprus, and Greece, the project brings together cultural and youth organizations with expertise in non-formal education, social inclusion, and creative arts. Its main purpose is to equip youth workers and young people with practical tools to understand, prevent, and respond to gender-based violence while promoting equality, democracy, dignity, and human rights. The project uses participatory theater methodologies as a way to encourage dialogue, empathy, critical thinking, and civic engagement, especially among young people with fewer opportunities. Alongside face-to-face workshops, training activities, and pilot programs, DILEMMA will develop an open-access digital platform containing 10 educational modules, 15 role-play scenarios, video tutorials, and a practical toolbox for youth workers. Through these resources, the project aims to strengthen the skills and confidence of more than 100 participants, foster inclusive and creative approaches to youth work, and create a sustainable European network committed to addressing social issues through art and education. Ultimately, DILEMMA positions theater as both a learning method and a social intervention tool, helping young people across Europe become more aware, empowered, and active in building fairer and more inclusive communities.
