Duration: 01.09.25 – 31.08.2027
Project Summary
The GoldGen (Sustainability Gap Bridging across Generations) project is a 24-month Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Adult Education that aims to empower senior citizens through lifelong learning, digital skills, and circular economy education. Running from September 2025 to August 2027, the project addresses the growing need to involve older adults in sustainability efforts while promoting active ageing, social inclusion, and civic participation. GoldGen recognizes that although seniors are often excluded from green and digital transitions, they remain influential consumers and valuable contributors to community life. Its main goal is to equip them with the knowledge and practical tools to engage in sustainable consumption, circular economy practices, and digital environments.
The project combines research, curriculum development, digital learning, and practical training to create an accessible educational pathway for seniors and adult trainers. Its main outputs include a specialized curriculum on digital skills and circular economy, an interactive e-learning platform, pilot training sessions, and workshops tailored to older adults. Bringing together partners from France, Greece, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Finland, GoldGen promotes intergenerational learning and strengthens collaboration between education, care, and sustainability sectors. The project aims to create long-term, transferable educational resources that support seniors in becoming active participants in the green and digital transition while contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable European society.
